My hockey story started when I was 15 years old, I moved away from home to play AAA hockey for the Iowa Wild in Des Moines, I played in Iowa for two years then played in Nebraska and South Dakota after that. I finished my junior career with the Minnesota Moose based out of Blaine. Playing for the Moose was a big part of my hockey career as we made it to nationals two years in a row. My team and I were a very close group of guys both years and that’s what I was looking for when looking at schools. After visiting St. Johns, I knew it was where I wanted to be. The hockey program here has a very strong reputation with a lot of success in a competitive conference called the MIAC, this was important to me because I knew I would be pushed everyday not only as a hockey player but as a student as well. Not only does St. Johns have great athletes but you can’t be an athlete without being a good student. When I chose St. Johns, I knew I was going to get a great education along with a great community.

I knew I wanted to major in business before choosing a school so finding a school with a good business program was also a high priority, I have always liked the thought of being an entrepreneur and I knew St. Johns had a good business program. I also have a passion for fitness, so I want to minor in exercise science and sport studies. When I am not at the rink or doing school, I like to be outside with friends or in the gym.

After graduating from St. Johns, I want to get a good job making good money with the ability to learn and get better at the things I love doing. One day I would like to eventually own a business in the fitness industry. Having the freedom to open a company in a location of my choice.
